Kerry Brader – Primary Head Teacher

The Malta Montessori School which was established in 2006 is owned and operated by Kerry Brader. Kerry received her AMS Montessori Early Childhood Certification in 2004 after completing her training at the Center for Montessori Education/ NY. Previous to that Kerry was a Middle School and High School Social Studies Teacher after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in 1997 and Master’s Degree in 1998 from the State University at Albany.

Krista Chiovoloni

Krista Chiovoloni is currently the Head Teacher for the Children's House classroom here at Malta Montessori School. Krista graduated Magna Cum Laude from Nazareth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She completed her Montessori Certification for Early Childhood 3-6 year olds, from the Northeast Montessori Institute. Currently she is pursuing a Masters in Education from Endicott College. Her interests include snowboarding and rock climbing with her three children.

Kerie O'Connor

Kerie O'Connor has been the Children's House Assistant Teacher since January 2010. Her interest in working with children started in high school where she began working with preschool children in a child study course. She attended Cape Cod Community College taking classes in early childhood education before moving to Denver Colorado where she took a job as an Assistant Teacher at The Montessori School at Lone Tree. She worked there for 5 years before moving to the Lake George area and starting here at the Malta Montessori School.

Meghan Stiehler

Meghan Stiehler is the Kindergarten and Lower Elementary assistant teacher here at Malta Montessori. Prior to moving from Maine to Saratoga Springs in June of 2010, so she could be closer to her family, Meghan spent many years working with children in a multitude of settings. She co-founded and taught at a full day private preschool, worked as a teacher in a multi-age classroom and cared for children in home and camp settings. Meghan holds a degree from West Virginia University. Outside of school, Meghan enjoys spending time being active, whether it be walking with the dog or working in the yard. She is excited and honored to have the opportunity to join the Malta Montessori family.

Paula Doughman

Paula Doughman has been a Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher for six years. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati, Montessori Elementary Certification (6-9) from North American Montessori Center, 5-Year Professional Elementary Teaching License from Ohio, and has completed the Post-Baccalaureate Elementary Teacher Training Program from Western Governor's University. Paula attended Gloria Dei Montessori School in Dayton, Ohio from three years of age through third grade. She is very excited to join the faculty of Malta Montessori as Head Lower Elementary Teacher.
